How can you tell which Li-Po is better than the other? If you have lets say 3 or 4 different brands of batterys and they all are 3S 1500mAh 15C.

Enquiring minds want to know!

Best, the red ones!

Hmm, sounds like the old Chevy vs Ford debate. I have a dogs breakfast of batteries, they pretty much deliver as advertised too. I kinda like the red ones, because they are red. Not much help I know. I'm gonna try the ones from RC-Castle next they appear to be "Value Priced" it they deliver the goods same as my Thunder Power, Kokam, POLYQUEST, E-flight, Apogee and LiPower Lites that will just keep me buying based on price. The only problems I've had have been operator induced, ie: crashed, reversed polarity connector, over discharged by not using low voltage warning device etc.

The chargers I've used pretty much all deliver as advertised too, though I like the "Techy" feature rich Triton because it lets me do domething other than just plug the battery in and push a charge inititation button. The four at a time Electrifly Charger is a close second as it pretty much keeps up with my battery usage. I have two Apache 2500 and a Hobbico Quick field charger Mark II These all are used off of a pair of 180 amp Hour Deep Cycle batteries that I lug out to the field along with my squadron worth of electric planes, all these things which look as well used as they are because I prefer to fly rather than "Shine" The hobby has got a huge chunk of my pay over the years...

Salutations from the Pacific North WET!

S.P.A.D.s, Fibreglas & Balsa EDF's, Foamies, Brushless powered and nitro balsa planes, they're all in my hanger, just don't explain what it all means to the mrs, eh?

You investigate. Search on RCGroups, WattFlyer, RCUniverse, and other online discussion forums. See what people are saying about the batteries in question.

A lot of the bargain lipos will advertise 15C or 20C, but in fact will turn out to be re-badged 8C or 10C cells.

Up to a point, you get what you pay for. I've never had problems with TP or Kokam or Venom lipos, but I've got an allegedly 1800 3s pack that doesn't give me the same performance as my 1250 TP. I've had a couple of cheapo packs puff on less than 1/2 their rated current draw.
