Question about the SkyFly

I'm new to this hobby and was wondering if the skyfly would be a good plane to start with?

If anyone as any feedback on this plane please feel free to let me know.

Apparently, it has a few issues with control throws which are controlled with nylon strings. You might be better off going with a high wing design from GWS or a "foamie" as they are often called with a high wing. Same price category etc.

The other issue I had with the SkyFly is that instead of "real" servos, the servo guts are open, and instead of using servo arms, the control line is wound on a large gear/spool. Yuk.

The new Aerobird 3 from Horizon is pretty good, for about the same price.

It now has real pushrods instead of the fishline-rubberband control lines, a removeable Rx, real 3-wire servos, and a radio with v-tail mixing and servo-reversing.
Eagles may soar,
but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.
