First Flight

It may not be my first flight with my Trex 450 but it was my first of any length. Went with some friends to the field early today to get some flying time in before it started to rain. They had there planes I had my Heli. There was no wind, but there were lots of flies. I only have had short flights on my Heli before in a fare amount of wind, so this was great. Set the Heli up and checked it out and it was good to go. Cranked it up and it was off the ground. Switched it to HH and it would nose to the left a bit so I just held a little right rudder to keep it straight, I did not want to start resetting the tail servo because I wanted to get in some flying before the rain. My friends were surprised now stable it was, so was I. Now it has been years since the last time I flew Heli at all so I was happy I could manage it that well at all. I have done a lot of pratice on a flight sim, only a FMS with Trex Heli and an interface with an old Heli radio I have, but it helped a lot. What ever sim you use just pratice. I was nice to get to fly it around a bit with no wind. It was my only flight because it started to rain at the end of my flight. The guys with planes flew for a bit but even they had to quit after awhile. Anyway I just had to tell someone.

Good stuff - thanks for sharing! If you like it now, just wait! You;re in for a whole lotta fun this summer!

It'll handle the wind pretty well when you're ready for it.
