I once saw a Hobie Hawk with its wings in a similar postion -- over-stressed the wing rod one too many times and it softened.

Since Canada has bought the C-17's (4) I wonder if they're going to join the 21st century and get some attack helicopters too?? (just thought that after seeing the picture of that Tiger)
