laser 4 wierd behavior

i was rigging up my new seaplane and decided to use dual aileron servos with each running on their own channel, forgetting that i was using the laser 4 too setup with while planning on using my eclipse 7 when done building anyway when i went to check the ailerons i noticed both servos reacted as if they had been connected using a y connector so i checked been known to do weird things like that before and forget but they were plugged in correctly without a y connector
my question is why did channel 6 react to a 4 channel transmitter?
supreme II 8 channel receiver was used by the way with hitec 2X HS635 servos in wing

Probably cheaper for Hitec to produce only one transmitter design and then leave some parts out to reduce the price.
Call it an unadvertised feature.
