Skycraft hobbies in Burlington!!

Karl has built an excellent business over the years. He actually rents three stores in his plaza and knocked the walls down in between to make one BIG hobby shop. He always gets the new stuff in and has a display with every engine he stocks so that you can hold the engine and look at it without disturbing any of the new engines that are in boxes.

Also, he stocks the DA 50, DA 100 and DA 150!!

My first stop has always been to see John Hatt at Maritime Hobbies, in Halifax. If he doesn't have something, it doesn't take long to have it brought in. He deals in Hitec, so almost 100% of my servo requirements are taken care of at MH... and great pricing too!

Oh great are the days when my takeoffs equal my landings!!!

This shop offers to let all customers fly trainers and helicopters even if the customers says she or he doesn't have any interest in buying or not.

Customers can take a free electric heli lesson in the store or on a Raptor 30 at the very large county owned flying field less than a half mile away.

My one and only excursion down to TeePee was the auction when the shop closed -- must have been 1983-84 timeframe. Unfortunately, the good stuff had been cleaned out already and what was left was the stuff that had been around for umpteen years and no one really wanted. I remember the Balsa Beavers guys and Jack McGillvary pretty well roosting over the FF and CL items.
