looking for a club
Remove this ad - become a site supporter!
I've just moved down to the Mississauga area, Corner of Winston Churchill and Eglinton to be exact, and I'm just wondering where the closest/best clubs are around here. I've been on a bit of a hiatus, haven't flown for about 2 years now but the itch is coming back stronger than ever!
Any help would be greatly appreciated
p.s. I am also looking for employment, I am a G2 licensed gas fitter, If anyone knows somebody looking for a tech I would greatly appreciate any help.

Halton Hills is another good bet, though they seem to be a closed club. Not absolutely sure about that because I've not had much contact with them.
Oakville and Mississauga are your best bets, Brampton is the next closest. Humber valley is probably the next one after that going east.
Check the MAAC website for clubs in the zone and there is a link to a map site so you can guage how close they are.

Re: looking for club
Most Sat and un when the weather is good someone is there. Tuesday Nights are for flight training and on Monday Nights they are doing and Advance Flight Training night for anyone that wwants to learn some aerobatics.. and I mean the right way to do them.
The South Filed is on the NW Corner of Dundas and Trafalgar Rd. Entrance is about 300m west of the intersection, past the house.
Both fields have locked gates so someone will have to be there for you to get in.
Go to www.omfc.org for more info. BTW the club has changed it's name to "The Oakville Milton Flying Club" seeing as the North Field is in Milton they felt they should change their name.
