Micro Antennas

I recently purchased a Futaba R146IP 6 channel PCM micro receiver for my T-Rex, but the long receiver antenna is a real pain. Its difficult to route and I can't afford to have any dangling wires that might get caught up in the mechanics. Consequently, I want to buy one of those small base loaded micro antennas. Does anyone have experience with these, perhaps recommend a particular brand? Help and advice appreciated.

I use both the Deans and Revolution antennas (on various applications) with ourstanding results...however, I understand that Futaba recommends against them on their equipement. You could coil up the antenna -in such a way that the wires do not overlap - around a drinking straw, or around the landing skid like the old Blade CX's and CP's did....

I'll second Wayne's comment. I've been using revolution whips for a number of years with no problems at all.

Just a supplemental question

I've just purchased a GWS NANO 6-ch receiver where the previous owner had shortened the antenna (helicopter).

Quick question #1: impact on actual range for a parkflyer?

Quick question #2: putting a new antenna or one of the short antennas (see above) is how hard and what needs to be done to ensure a good connection and no brittle spots?
