Ive flown/used Nicad and Nimh both in winter months without troubles and I don't prefer one or the other. No experience with the lipoly.

Flew with lipos last winter. Fresh charged and warm work ok. when they get cold they lose most ot their power.. No fun in the cold.

Don't charge lipos below 0c Plating occurs on the anode and makes the pack more susceptible to impact damage and failure during high charge rates.
