Today is SETUP day.
At around 5pm the track will open for those who are arriving early.
This will no doubt be one of those times where setup early would be beneficial. Due to the pure numbers there is an entire corn field dedicated to pits alone!
We will be making some last minute touch ups and tests to ensure a smooth weekend.
I hope to have some spy shots of the track tonight!

What an absolutely awesome weekend.
I'm a wreck today.. but had a very fun weekend.
There was a curse though on the track.. some force kept removing air filters.!!!! or for some... used jedi mind force to make people forget to put them on. Yeah I cooked an engine!
I would like to thank Dave Mclean and the Sprucewood Leasing family for hosting and preparation to make this a successful weekend.
I know he is already making phone calls and planning for next year. A big round of applause for Dave and his team.
I’d also like to thank the Full Throttle guys and gals, that ran the race. Wow!.. Bus Driver (Eric what is your last name) who ripped out his throat this weekend!.. man that’s going to hurt later!! I could see the damage on the outside of your neck!!! That aint right!..lol The race ran absolutely FLAWLESSLY!! For the first time EVER!!! Not one single computer problem or glitch!! At a true example of how you guys role!
A thank you to Jason Fuller who was the Race Director..” the race don of RC” this weekend. Jason did a superb job of dealing with any behind the scenes issues and general race management.
Thanks to the Peterborough RC guys for pitching in and helping out officiating.
Thanks to Dan and Henry from Zoom Room Toys and Hobbies for their help teching and keeping Chickenman sane..(sane as possible anyways)
Thanks to Eat Dirt, Glen, Chewy and all those who attended and regularly helped out around the track. We need more like you guys around.
I would like to thank the Schomberg Lions Club, who can I say puts together a mean Cheese burger!!! OMG.. my heart… The Lions club was up in the early hours preparing and providing food and beverage all weekend long. I hope they were successful and the event was worth while for their charity fundraising. I’m sure we’ll hear back shortly.

I will be sifting through some pictures and posting them up shortly, as will a race synopsis for some awesome racing!!!.
Thanks to all who came from far and wide to join or just visit us.

Glorcs Round 6, at the Sprucewood in King City Ontario.
Over 250 racers put foot to trigger and pounded dirt for 4 days. A number of round 6 champions were crowned at Sprucewood. There were many visitors and families in attendance. Race classes were capped and some were turned away!.
Thursday set the frame work with an unprecedented turnout for setup and evening practice. The overcast skies threatened rain but that did nothing to curb the heat. Friday morning saw temperatures in the 37-40c range as all day practice ran under a cloudy cover!. Winds picked up and by night fall the rain came. It was short lived and only succeeded in making the air heavier with humidity.
Saturday Morning still offered a cloud covered sky. The track was pumped out and qualifying began.
The track is a whooping 250x200 or so and offered up some of the most challenging race sections of the year. “S” curves, dips, trenches, rhythm, doubles, triples, and engine breaking hi speed straights made this track perfect for racing!. Wide lanes made for some great battles.
A short delay in the morning pushed the first two rounds late ending in mid evening. At 830pm the lights were turned on and a “night” qualifier was run. The first for 2007!.
Racers had advanced knowledge of this challenge. They prepared by adding lighting, led’s, glow sticks, and reflective tape to their vehicle bodies. Some vehicles were spectacles in and of themselves. Adding a new level of style and competitiveness!
After 3 rounds of qualifying your TQ order was as follows
Buggy Gareth Houben
Monster Truck Phil Frauts
Truggy Dave Henry
Sunday morning brought sunny skies and an early start. Mains ran in succession, with some very entertaining play by play from the director’s hut.
Buggy A main
The main started with Gareth Houben punching it out in a lead battle with Jamie McNeil. Jamie prevailed. Well into the second lap Gareth pulled ahead when Jamie flipped in the “s” curves. Dave Henry who is looking for a win to surpass Andrew Phillipe for 1st overall had flamed out early and was working to catch up. Gareth led the race until he flamed out center track. Ben Wheeler who had worked his way through the crowd took first. However Ben I believe lost a rear wheel and Kevin took over the lead. Kevin McNerny held the lead. Jamie was in the mix until a front shock issue pulled him into the pits for a quick but detrimental repair. Dan Black moved into second quickly and fought hard with Kevin. The last few minutes were only about Dan Black and Kevin McNerny. Dan came across the line first, with Kevin inches behind to take the win.
Your finishing lineup for Buggy
1st. Dan Black – (Full Throttle Raceway, C-Low Hobbies, Eclipse RC, Powerhouse RC Performance, WNY RC.com) (Sports Werks Mayhem)
2nd Kevin McNerny (Mugen MBX5R)
3rd Mike Burr (Mugen.)
Monster Truck A
This was a wild start that saw a number of trucks heading back to the pits to be restarted after getting tangled up in the masses. Dave Mclean pulled ahead in his blinged up LST2 taking a strong and assertive lead. No sooner did Dave take a strong lead then did he fall and flame out. (later found that his air filter had popped off which undoubtedly did its damage) Martin Petre sailed into first. A second and third place battle emerged between Chuck Leone and Ron Prinzen. 5 Minutes in Chuck flamed out and Ron secured his position. With 1st and 2nd being held strong, the battle for 3rd (and the hardward) reared up and Dirk Betts emerged holding 4th. Craig Brister and Marc Maukonen beat eat other senseless for 5th and 6th. I think there was some payback from previous races being had here as each jockeyed back and forth for position.
Your finishing lineup for Monster Truck
1st. Martin Petre (Traxxas Revo – 3.3) (Grand River Hobbies)
2nd. Ron Prinzen
3rd. Phil Frauts (Traxxas Revo)
After the first lap and some difficulty on the start Mike Burr pulled out the lead position crossing the loop. Hot on his tail was Cory Pullam and Dave Henry. In the second lap Cory and Mike jockey back and forth but Cory secures the lead as Mike dumped on his lid approaching the rhythm section. Cory in the Moooooooo cow coloured Mugen fought to stay ahead of Dave Henry who was mere seconds behind. Dave slowly put pressure on Cory and finally passed him many laps later when Cory flipped going into the “s” curve center field. Cory stayed tight to Dave and took a short lead after a pit but Dave regained it the following lap. 10 minutes in Cory received some pressure by Mike Burr for his second place spot. Mike fell back as Ben Wheeler and Gareth Houben pulled forward battling for 3rd spot. It all came down to the last lap or two when somehow (and I didn’t see) Gareth, Ben, and Binh Quan got tied up in something and Abiye sailed though the herd and smoked out a 3rd place position!
Your finishing lineup for Truggy
1st Dave Henry (Team Losi)
2nd Cory Pullam (Mugen)
3rd Abiye Birku (Team Losi)
