Just wondering how many of you have thought about this or have tried it. I rigged up about 20 LED lights and put them on my e flite sobre foamy. I am going to try and fly it tomorrow night and will see how I do. If anyone has tried before do you have any advice.
good day

NOT WINDY?? in Yorkton?

so thats how you guys fly r/c ....wait til night and the wind dies down.

actually sounds like fun, thinking about building a new Kadet Sr. with transparent covering and building LED's inside the wings.

I flew my little electric pylon racer last night with 4 glowsticks from the dollar store attachced to the wing outline and rudder with tape(yellow and green work best). I was tough to see at dusk but as it got darker it was great. The glow sticks gave a good out line of the plane the only issue was at certain angles of flight all four glow sticks were covered. It was intersting flying with your plane going in and out of "black holes". More careful placement should solve this problem.

Also you need lots of bug spray at night. A small fast airplane going in and out of sight while trying to swat the bugs makes for an interesting flight.

well I tried a bit of night flying. I took the foamy to a park and flew it at about 10 PM. Other than the fact that it was a bit heavier than planned it seemed to go fairly well. I had 18 LEDs on it. All powered by a 9 VOlt batt. It was different but fun. I think I will keep going with it and see what kind of cool things i can do with it.
good day
