How about post numbers and a way to manage "watched" threads.

I know I have selected a few threads to watch but I don't remember which ones they were since they haven't been active for a while. I would like to be able to view a list of watched threads and possibly stop the watch.

Love RC Canada the way it is

I belong to about 7 forums. This one is as fast and friendly as any. Better than most.

Some may require more flexibility. Larger picture capacity would be nice but not essential. I can edit.

I am most grateful for this site, just as it is.

Thanks, ModelBuilder

Increase in the numbers of pm's!

It seems maybe only 5 saved pm's fills the box.
Maybe 15 or so with the In Box and it gets full as well!

Jason, I have from time to time wanted to contact an advertiser who shows up in the rotating banner adds, and have not been able to find his contact info. Perhaps under "INFO" a link to a simple page of links to advertiser's sites?

In the main, this site is so much easier to use than others, and I am so grateful for the knowledge gained by interacting with the members, and have felt privilaged when I have had something to contribute.

Keep up the good work, Jason, we appreciate it.

Things on RCC are great, it's reliable and functional, however I think there's always room for improvements. These are the types of things I think you should consider:

1) Users come to RCC largely for the content. You should do what you can to encourage quality media rich content. Make it easy to post pictures and videos with as few restrictions as possible. Videos should be as easy as using YouTube or you should just encourage people to use YouTube and embed the videos.

2) Even though there are still dial-up users the majority of users are broadband. You should try to support dial-up users but don't let that stop you from implementing higher bandwidth features.

3) Interface must be simple and familiar. There are a lot of online Forum packages, you should pick one which has proven to be successful and the majority of your users will be able to adopt with a short learning curve.

4) Keep your ads non-invasive (no pop-ups, minimal Flash...etc) and relevant (aka google)

5) Implement RSS this will help spread RCC beyond your web site

That's all I can think of.....Looking forward to the changes.
