Airbrushing Raptor 30 Canopy

I have decided to remove the stickers and airbrush my canopy. I have a number of questions; Should I sand the surface as it is orange peel in feel? Are there special primer to use? Should I use acrylic or enamel paint? What should I use as a protecting coat, clear coat, etc., against fuel, oil and exhaust?

Here's some info for you:

(I googled "how to paint raptor canopy")

You can also do a search on RunRyder in the "Thunder Tiger Raptors 30-90 - Imperio" forum for "paint canopy".

I did the plastickote trick and worked great the pic I included was with one coat of clear, I am putting on decals before finishing two other coats of clear.

Sorry pic is too big but trust me it is nice and paint sticked good.
