[quote="cf-drg"] I happen to like ENYA's but I have to order them from out of country now... It's too bad someone like Great Hobbies or Hobby Wholesale wouldn't take on some of these brands... That's how OS basically got its break , through Tower Hobbies/ Great Planes... Look at the line of engines Great Hobbies and Hobby Wholesale carries, they are distributed by Great planes and Horizon, that's it!!![/quote/]

Yep, I recently bought an enya from japan, $195 to my door for the new 61CX, shipping was only $15. Thats pretty reasonable for a very high quality engine.
Horizon is slowly dropping webra's too which is really to bad they are great engines.

I happen to like Enya also ,actually distributed them at one time. When OS got it's start in NA it was with a company called World Engines. They also had Super tigre and a complete line of model products.OS was promoted very well and had good factory support.Enya was dist in the US by MRC and in Canada by Borfeldt toys both of which did a less than sterling job.Once you have a relativley dominant position then the herd mentality will keep you out front.
Distribution is a big factor also .It is easier to add to a large order than to make another order to a small dist for a few products.

Started with nothing, got most of it left

One engine line that we are impressed with is SK "Super Kraft" 2-stoke engines.
Many people are using them now that we are importing them for the Canadian market.
The first one I used was the SK 50 @$79.00 Does the price dictate the quality??? Well, this engine starts easy, great finnish, awsome carburator to setup and forget and is NOT overpriced!

Many people love thiese engines and probably wouldn't have known about them untill we introduced them.

Advertising and marketing by the "big boys" have to be factored into thier offerings. Thus higher prices...

We advertize here on RCC www.uniquercimports.com

I challenge anyone to find better a value!
