You were pretty close there Ken!!

A gentleman who lives here in Hamilton has this plane for sale. I went to his home this past weekend and had a look at the plane.

It is a model of a Stearman, but the plane is NOT a kit but was built from completely home drawn plans and scratch built.

The radial shown IS a Williams Bros. Pratt and Whitney "Wasp" plastic kit.

The actual engine is completely enclosed inside the front of the fuse. Looks like a 40 or perhaps could be a 60 sized two stroke engine??? Not sure as all I could see was the head. The motor looks brand new (from what I could see of it) and I doubt that it has ever been run!

He has all the material to finish it including the plans, covering and a few other items that all go with the plane for the asking price. It has a bit of hangar rash but someone could easily finish it off and have themselves a nice little scale plane.

So for a hundred $$ it's actually a pretty good deal.
