At the risk of starting another Dodge vs Ford arguement, has anyone done any in depth research into the differences between the DX7 and the Futaba 7C?

Moving to 2.4 gives a clean slate as far as receivers etc go.
I note a couple of the Spektrum receivers do not use the universal plug, so are restricted to the servos to be used.

As far as which radio, basing this only on what I have been told and what I have read Specktrum wins hands down. Much much faster and more solid. Again I must clarify that I don't have hands on experience...so take this as a grain of salt.

However on the servo issue, this in no way limits what servos you use, just buy the servo without a J connector, or really all you need to do is shave off the tab. No limits on which brand.
