Anybody got any sources for info on building ski's for 40 size?
I'm sure its pretty straight forward but I'd like to KNOW rather than guess.

Lots of references on making your won from wood or aluminum. Most hobby shops should ahve them.

Trike gear is about 4 inches for nosegear and 6-8 inches for mains; taildraggers are 8-12 inches in length.

Blocks for the gear wire to pass through should ensure that there is a natural nose-high set to the skis (not much but you can see it) so that you don't catch a tip.

Great alternate is to use floats. Floats have the advantage of not catching in footprints as easily as skis. Plus when everything melts and the field is soft, you don't ahve to change anything to go float flying.
