The end of the article is particularly interesting. I haven't background checked this, but according to what's written here, Mr. Aresti flew a Bucker, which was very good an Snap and Spin maneuvers. So, when he made up K-factors for maneuvers, low K's were given to spins and snaps, and high K's were given to the "tougher" manuevers (i.e. the zoomy vertical manueuvers that a draggy biplane doesn't do well).
Thought it was an interesting peice of hysterical trivia.
