Has anyone converted this Dave Patrick Edge 540T? http://www.davepatrickmodels.com/dpm/edge540t/specs.htm

If so, any details? I'm considering buying one but only if there a good chance that it'll come out at about 13 pounds or below upon conversion ...

Looks a bit on the heavy side, foam wings and tail?
Look here http://www.wildharerc.com/products/Edge540Extra260/
A little lighter in weight and cost. All built up comes without hardware, Tom has a hardware pack Email him as an electric converson will not need some of the parts.

DP Edge 540

Hi Colin:

You might have a problem sourcing this ARF as Dave Patrick is basically out of business.

Although his website is still taking orders, it is not functional. I tried ordering parts for my Extra 330L, and even got a confirmation that the order had been accepted, but 3 months later my credit card has not been charged, and the phone is never answered.

Unless you can find a dealer with some old stock you might be SOL. Dave did build some pretty light stuff, but you might be better looking elsewhere.
