Well, I received the goods a while ago, and I finally got around to the build. These models were smaller that I had imagined. really cute, super light. The su-31 needs some extra help, so I have reinforced the motor mount and added some carbon to the fuse. The covering was ok. A few wrinkles, no warping. The verticle stab fits snug and needed no help to find 90'. Instructions could use some work. The motor mount is not pre assembled and the illustrations obsure... The mount comes with a right pull compensation angle built in. Nice touch as long as you don't build the motor moungt reversed.... The canopy could use some work. Lexan plastic with out a frame, secrured to the fuse wih screws. I will eventually build a balsa frame for it. Cowl is beautiful, but difficult to mount. Excellent venting for electircs is part of the design. simple but effective.
I am using the suggested power set from Hyperion. I am more impressed with this! The small light weight motor really cranks out the power! when I first looked at the trhing I hd my resevations, but honestly this little motor rocks! The 20 amp ESC is somwhat liimited, but perfect for this plane. it even comes with a LVC wired to an LED indicator, completly visible from the ground. The red LED blinks at 4v and gives you lots of time to bring her in, before it goes solid and kicks in the pre set LVC fails safe setting (25% throttle w/ BEC) The whole package, including power set was $140, with 2 9g servos and 2 5g sub-micro's in the wing I have spent about$160-
I like it.

The Yak is way more impressive. It came with a super sturdy fuse and no mods were needed. The covering is perfect. BUild was simple and fast. Magnetic canopy holders are nice. Perfect little yak. I powered this 20 oz balsa ARF with an Ultrafly B/18/10 and 2100Mh 3s 20c lipo. Unlimited Vertical. 12 min flight times, cruises easily on 1/4 throttle. I love it.
