KW Flying Dutchmen Jan 1st Fun Fly

Today the KWFD (Kitchener Waterloo Flying Dutchmen) started off the year with its annual January 1st Fun Fly and Pot Luck. The weather was bad and there were several automobile accidents seen on the way to the field.

As always, Chilli was made by Mike Fritz and every one else brought along some goodies to accompany the Chilli.

There were about 10 people at the field, visibility was poor, lots of wind, but no crashes - glow and electric planes were flying. Some vehicles needed some "assistance" getting out after flying.

As always, the comradeship was great and everyone had a good time.

Our next event will be the Swap Meet the third Saturday in January (as always) 1-3 followed by the wing dinner at the WR&G (Waterloo Rod and Gun Club) downstairs.

Hope everyone else had a great time at their January 1st fly.

Here are a few pictures below.

Couldn't even get out of my driveway, the streets weren't plowed with about 8-10" of snow. Even now (8:30pm) they still aren't plowed and I'm a residential area of G'town.

We had a great fun fly at the Bramalea club this morning. About 15 pilots came out . Some flew and some did not. But we all had a a lot of fun to start off another great year of flying. Happy New Year.
