I can certainly vouch for Alex that Indoor events are a financial risk.

After seeing all these emails about indoor flying I thought I wouldn't have any trouble securing 20 regular flyers.

Every event is a nail biter, for some reason people just don't want to commit longer term.

Hang in there Alex, I think we should get together and figure out how to get the word out. RC Canada has been a great forum to get the ball rolling but maybe some exposure in the GTA at hobby shops and the like will draw a few more participants.

Maybe some sponsorships...

I welcome any suggestions from the community at large...

I feel sorry for both David and Alex. I ran an indoor event for 2 years at the school where I teach and never charged any money(my stupid fault!). In the end it was hard to get people to commit or help with anything I needed to keep the events going. I have had very little help in the last 10 years in this hobby when it comes to running events. My advice to you guys is that if you have events you get people to pay up front by posting your paypal account info and have a non refundable user fee and if the event does not run, thats too bad! If people pay up front they will put pressure on others to sign up and go. You have both done a great job so far so I applaude you!! When you run an indoor event there is one flight line and you break up the levels of fliers so everyone gets a 4 to 5 minute slot with no more than 3 or 4 fliers in the air at once. As an experienced flier I have a hard time flying with 6 helis at once, I am scared as hell to hit someone on the end or other side of the gym. Again guys you have both done a great job and more people need to step up to the plate and help out (both heli and airplane guys).
