Model Contest and Display

Hi guys,

I went to the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum on the weekend and found out they were hosting a Model Contest and Display on February 24th.

If you haven't been to the museum and you live in the GTA, I suggest that would be a great time to do it. My 2 year old and I had a blast.

I'll probably see you there.

I grew up a mile away from the Mt Hope Airport as we have called it for years. Iv'e been going there all my life and enjoyed it very much. My wife and I are holding a birthday party there for our five year old in February and all the kids are really looking forward to it. Is this model show RC or is it plastic display models? My son and I love both

Judging by the rules, I would say it is mostly for plastic models.

But, there are "all scale" classes for Multi winged, Rotary Wing, Civil and COmmercial, Scratch Built and Major Conversion, and What-ifs. I believe the RC stuff can fit into these classes since all the other classes are 1/32 and smaller.

As an aside, this would be a good place to send an RC aircraft contigent as it would drum up some interest in RC.

Model Display - indoor flying

I'm thinking this might be a good opertunity to drum up interest in the indoor flying part of the hobby.

It may be a good idea to contact them and ask if they would like to have an indoor flying exhibition of RC foamies, or if they would like an indoor contest there at the same time.

Is there anyone local who could check into it and could set it up? Just a thought.
