MVVS 35 or Evolution 26gt?

Hello everyone

I got my engines (MVVS 35 and EVO 26) in the mail today and now I am at a quandry as to which engine I should go with for my Dynaflite Decathlon. I have run the numbers and would now like to draw on everyone's practical experience with gas airframes. The EVO 26 weight is 33oz. The MVVS 35 is 53oz. EVO 26gt is 3.8hp and the MVVS is 4.1hp.

Can anyone offer up some opinions as to which one I should use in this airframe. I have never been so unsure as to which one to use! Does anyone have any idea what static thrust these two put out?

I am going to fly the airframe the same as the full scale one does... Rolls, inside& outside loops hammer heads lomcevaks etc etc. I am concerned with the weight of course with the MVVS 35 but I like the power! I also don't like adding dead weight to anything I fly so if I add the 26gt and 7oz of lead to get it to balance.... Here is where I am at! Please help! Thanks,

Use the 26. It's lighter and enough HP.

This is a Decathelon not an Extra.

I have an MVVS 35 and it is a very powerfull engine. Not fully broken in it turns a 20 x 8 at 7000 RPM. I had it in a KMP Beaver on floats. The engine worked fine. The plane well it had a glide ratio of a cement block. I am building a Balsa USA 1/4 Cub with floats and have decided to use a 25 cc and not the MVVS 35 as I think it would be over kill.
