Winter blahs

Hello all,
About this time of year we usually start to see a few discussion get a little out of hand. I usually attribute it to the winter blahs setting in...good old Canadian cabin fever. It seems this year a few people have taken it upon themselves to test the waters to see how bad they can treat other members and get away with it.
The thing that gets me is that most of these people would probably never act in such an ignorant way if they were standing in front of the other person.

It's time it stops. Treat other with respect...period. You don't need a moderator to tell you how to act in public...

This message goes out to a very few members. You know who you are. If you're only here to stir the pot...hit the little 'X' button at the top right hand of your browser.

Simply go outside this weekend and get some Sun/Fresh Air!

I was so Blue & blahed with this snowy/gray winter. Well I finally got off my butt last Saturday too attend a local club ORCC winter Fun/fly - It was like heaven! Sunny and near zero temps and no wind! - I got to chat to the guys I hadn't seen in months! - I even got a little bit of sun burn - Wow! Well it was amazing how much it improved my total overall well being feeling! - I got another chance to do it again 01 March with another club! Hey Iam going!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ski's on

So lets see your basement build's and pic's of your plane on ski's this winter! - Feel the need to vent - Forget it! I declare RC Canada is a No Vent Zone. My 2 cents for today

PS: That Sunny day also Sparked my building for Spring! - Can't wait.
Not Happy? - Form your own Jet club "OVJ"

Heres to you Jason..

Each of us handles the long winter months the best we can, each in their own way. When someone cannot control those blah feelings and publicly takes it out on others here, its like throwing fuel on a fire and can quickly flame out of control. Very happy to see your taking action to control it, Jason. Thank you!

Jason, RCC is a business after all and I'm sure that you have been struggling with this situation.

This site is very much like running a business where one may field 50 or 60 phone calls a day. Which call(s) stand out at the end of the day?....not the 99% that were positive with decent folks on the other end of the line, it is the one or two that, for whatever reason, felt that they needed to be rude and make your day difficult.

You are handling this site in a businesslike and professional manner. I wouldn't lose one moment of sleep over the 1% that need to be booted off the site.

Well done!

It's not so bad, its quite entertaining really. I know what the real problem is:
ARFS, you guys have nothing to do through the winter; ARFS are killing us, it's making you guys soft. You sit around looking at your fancy plane and it hurts that you can't fly it. Now builders, I can't believe it's almost March. There's no way I'll have my build ready for Spring. Winter just isn't long enough

Acute renal failure (ARF), also known as acute kidney failure or acute kidney injury, is a rapid loss of renal function due to damage to the kidneys, resulting in retention of nitrogenous (urea and creatinine) and non-nitrogenous waste products that are normally excreted by the kidney. Depending on the severity and duration of the renal dysfunction ARF, this accumulation is accompanied by mental disturbances, such as metabolic acidosis (acidification of the blood) and hypercantflyaplaneia (elevated potassium levels), changes in body fluid balance, and effects on many other organ systems. It can be characterised by oliguria or anuria (decrease or cessation of urine production), although nonoliguric ARF may occur. It is a serious disease and treated as a medical emergency. You don't want to hear the research associated with Monokote covered ARF.

So I agree, it's not there fault
