Puffy lipo pack after less than a dozen flights

Pack is a DualSky 3s 1320 15C.

The pack has been through about five or six charge cycles plus has been used to check out systems on the ground plus about for flights. The heaviest draw that I've had it under is my stock wattage Turbo Vector and the cruciform Avro Arrow with a Dualsky XM2826CA-1 1200KV. Neither have gone over 12 amps.

Charging was done with the correct settings, though the charger could only be set for 1300 mah capacity.

It's now about 50% thicker than the other similar pack that I have, so I'm assuming tht it's now on its last legs.

Which suprises the heck out of me due to the few cycles that I've put it under.

Does Dualsky have a warranty program (probably not)?

Am I being paranoid becuawe this is the only pack in my collection that's gone all puffy on me>

I have never used his packs but I am pretty sure that he will replace it for you. His both is right beside mine at the Toledo trade show and he seemed to be a very nice stand up kind of guy. He certanly sold a lot of lipos.

I recall some time back that DN Power lipos had an age issue where the packs would begin to swell after a certain amount of time.

I'm not completely positive but I believe DN Power and Dualsky utilize the same cells from the same mfg, if that is the case, it may just be you got one of these older faulty batches of cells.

I've got some 800 mAh brand new in the package DN Power packs here that have swollen and never even been used.

Dualsky is a pretty reputable company, i'd contact them, they may be willing to work with you.

I also have a 1320 Dualsky pack which swelled after very few, 3 or 4 cycles - balance charged at 1C and not over discarged. Unless their warranty involves replacment with Thunderpower or Polyquest or EVO equivilent, I'm not interested. Fool me once......
Good Day, WMK.
