I am also building a 1/4 balsa USA Cub. I have turned it into a PA 11 with a cowled engine and have added flaps. I am using a HH 26cc engine that fits well. I have most of it framed up. Now to start the floats. Oh I haven't built anything for a while and yes there is a lot of building. That is also the enjoyment. Good luck with yours and may it fly off the building table straight and true.

Re: j3 cub sig

My first post on this site,,hello.
I have recently bought the Balsa USA kit that i intend to make into a clipped wing with 0 deg dihedral, and a fully cowled eng. I live in Scotland and in between rain storms our site is normaly a bit breezy ), so a floater would not be much use!.
If the cabin area is a little weak, then i will stregthen it a bit, and will probably alter the kit in a few other ways to suit my tastes, surely this is part of the pleasure of plan/kit building.
I will enjoy building mine and am sure you will too, whatever kit!,
Cheers John111
