This is the time of the year when the sun is strong and the air is cool the thermals are fantastic - had a beautyful 45 min flight to-day soaring with the Hawks with my old Electra only used motor twice- Airtemp was 4 dg. so the fingers got a little numb!-Also tried bungee launching my friends 3m, got up ones but not too high because the bungee does not like the cold weather and rolls up like spagetti!

Sounds like you had a great flight. I had a 10 minute flight last Saturday. A bit more wind than I would like for the first flight of the year, but the challenge was welcomed.

Keep us up to date on your Cularis. I am curious to see what works best for launching. I recall you were talking about ROG via a trolley. Any update on that?

Re: Get your TD Ships out

I was at the field for 11 hours yesterday. I flew my Alula in good thermal conditions .What an absolute blast that little thing is. Also flew the old X-p3 DLG, later in the day flew the very old Tekoa 3Meter Shadow with a Hacker 12XL in the nose. Some newbs got tons of hi-start practice with the Gentle Lady .Next we are going to get some aero-tow training happening!!
