Is it ok to use FM receiver on gas engine powered planes?. Im a newbie to gas setups and I was wondering if interference from the ignition module could cause glitches on FM receivers.

It is a possibility. The general rule is to make sure you do not have
any metal to metal connections on your linkages. If you do that and
make sure nothing can vibrate loose, you should be ok. Ground
run up and range testing your radio is important also before take off.
Hope this helps!

I ran a FM rx on my 50cc gasser with success for over a year. Took me a while to get rid of all the RF noise but it worked fine for me. Twisted servo leads are a must in my book, as well as being careful where to place batteries and servos etc.

Ideally EVERYONE should be setting up a plane using a FM rx, and then once a successful range check has been performed then proceed to change out to a PCM or 2.4Ghz radio system of their choice. In many cases this just isn't feasible to do however.
