Invite your brother up for a visit with you in God's country, during the May 24 long weekend, and have him bring the kits

You are right. Or otherwise, go visit him if you're already driving to the border.

As for marking it as a gift to avoid GST and/or PST, dream on my friends. That has nothing to with the taxes. Don't believe me. Read the rules and go try it if you still don't beleive the rules.

You can hit Coutts in 3 hours (maybe a bit less) from the south end of Calgary. Its 5 hours to great falls, if you don't take long at the border.

I know guys have had stuff shipped to Sweetgrass just on the US side but I am not sure exactly what is in the town, or where/how they were doing it.

You guys taking 4 hours to get to the border drive WAY too slow

You will not get charged taxes if it is a gift but it must have a birthday card with it according to customs so 75 cents for card and no taxes also make sure there are no receipts in or on any boxes.

Re: How to Economically Ship planes accross the Southern Border.

I get stuff from the states quite often. If you ship it Greyhound, the closest you can get it to is Great Falls and they want you to pick it up within a few days.

You can have it shipped UPS to YOU c/o UPS Supply Chain Solutions
#309 2nd Street
Sweetgrass, MT 59484

Sweetgrass is the border town opposite Coutts, an hour south of Lethbridge.

UPS Supply Chain charges you $3.00 per shipment up to 3 boxes and will hold it longer, they will charge a few more bucks after 30 days.

You pick up your stuff from them and just tell Canada Customs want you picked up when you come back through border. They've never questioned anything sent as "gift" but the BD Card is a good idea. If you've made it a weekend trip to Great Falls or Helena then after 48 hours to are allowed $400 exemption anyway.

Pretty simple to do. I have a PO Box in Sweetgrass and go down quite often (I'm only an hour away) . Could even grab something for you on one of my trips, just email all the paperwork I'd need to know.

If you are picking up at UPS you need the tracking number for them to find the item.

If you make a weekend trip of it to Great Falls and stay
