Re: Aluminum spacers

I also have a cheap source for them...machinist's lathe in my garage, and some alum bar stock.

What about brake line tubing, cheap, lite, many sizes, just cut to length.

Re: Aluminum spacers

Canadianf1pilot: would you be prepared to make me four aluminium spacers five-eighths inch diameter with quarter inch clearance hole and three-quarters inch long, for a price? I need them to mount a Variac (variable ratio power transformer) in a case to make a Hot-wire cutter power supply. A Variac is also useful for other purposes and is my preferred way of adjusting a cutter, before anyone points out the use of a light dimmer or such! My friend who would normally help is indisposed. Thanks -

Guess I'll just get some from the 'machinest' site.
