Where are you folks getting your A123s? The supplier I used in the past, Big-E RC, is going out of business.

Re: A123 Sources

I've purchased mine from online forums (RCC/RCG), others have purchased from ebay. There was a discussion about Worldtools a while back, however I don't know if anyone has actually purchased from them or not.

Re: A123 Sources

Here are a couple of sources of new A123 cells;
I bought some 4 cell packs from Model Electronics this spring and am very satisfied with their service.

Re: A123 Sources

If you've a deft hand and don't mind doing your own setup-- the deWalt 36V packs are always showing up on eBay.

Of course, you have to take your chances and shipping may be horrendous and there's all those horror stories....

I'd check out Worldtools if you're located in the GTA, the price is comparable to what you see as the final price on eBay and postage is only slightly outrageous (Canada Post seems to want out of the mail business)

Re: A123 Sources

World Tools only charges $9.00 for shipping, plus you have the option of picking them up from their location in Brampton for $0.00.
10 cell packs are going for $133, not too bad.
(Go through the checkout procedure to get the shipping price)

I bought two packs back in January from them for $93 a pack
