See afew posts above by Tom and myself. Unless you need it for nose wieght there is no reason tu use subC on that size of airplane. Stick with AA and just go to a higher mAh, (capacity like 2300 mA), if you want more flights between charges. that way you could alternate charging flightpack and ignition bats at different times if you only have a one output charger. JAT!

I use an 1100mah a123 LiPO4 on my giants with 2x diodes soldered in for 5.2V continuous to the IGN. A few have done testing online showing significant ignition degredation with anything over 5.9V on RCEXEL ignitions.Works amazing, charge/balances safely in plane in 10 minutes if need be! Best part is, I build my own packs for $11.50each. The larger 2300's I sometimes use on RX's in redundancy. Over the past year I've switched every plane of mine over to a123.
