Well after a year or two off.

I'm back

Before throwing all my RC gear in the closet a while back. I have to admit. I was struggling to get the power from my electric motors I was looking for. My ducted fans could barely muster up 250 whatts. My larger outrunners produced about as much power as motors half there size. So after dusting off my gear and deciding I really needed new batteries I went online to Icare and bought me some kick butt batteries. 4S 3700 mah Evos. And though it strained the CC I bought a decent charger too.

So whats the diff? Well I thought the 1500 mah 3S I had before were good. But obviously. They sucked. My mini fan ducted fans were producing at best 250 whatts before. But on the new 4S I get 680 whatts for an extended period. The big outrunners were getting me 200 whatts. Now 500 whatts. To be fare to my previous batteries. I also bought one 3S 3700 EVO. And the power output was simular to what the older smaller batteries gave me.

Lesson learned. Bigger is better and better is best. Or more voltage is better and......

Re: What a little voltage can do.

It's the conservation of energy at work. You are what you eat (or whatever is the motor equivelant).
