I need a landing gear....Suggestions please...

I need a landing gear. The original one was a 1 piece dural unit, but was starting to spread on pretty much every landing due to fatigue. It is at least a couple of years old.
I purchased a new fiberglass unit on Friday, installed it yesterday, and flew this evening.
On the first landing the gear delaminated.
I did not flop it in. It was a nice glide in with no bounce using the full length of the runway.

The plane is a Dave Patrick Ultimate. The manual sais 9.5 to 10.5 lbs.
I think it is actually between 12 and 13 pounds. I don't have a scale to weigh it.

Anyway, I need suggestions for a landing gear. Preferably something I can pick up tomorrow or Tuesday somewhere around the GTA.

Suggest you seek out a carbon fiber gear. There were some after market gears for this type of plane. Maybe someone has one in their basement???

a friend of mine had made his out of aluminum brackets (c-channel type bracket, cut to a taper on the side view) he had a 1.08 in his ultimate so weight really wasn't much of an issue.

I seem to remember when someone else had the delam problem, they wrapped tape (don't remember what kind--fibreglass tape maybe? the kind that is 1/2" wide and is white with the threads that you can see running through it).

Solved that problem.
