Hey guys, have a question about props...... is there a formula for sellecting different props??, if I want to change from a 2 blade to a 3 or 4 blade, is there a way to choose the correct size.

sugarpops,for 3 blade alot of people say drop down 1" in diameter. But through my experience is you need to drop down at least 2" in diameter to in any way keep the rpm and performance up

4-blade i have no experience
Movin' on up to the top-shelf..3W!!!

The scuttlebut I've always heard is down one inch in diameter and one in pitch. worked fine when I added a three blader to my extra a few years ago.

Wouldn't that rule of thumb depend on the prop range?

Wouldn't a percentage reduction in prop size suit better? (then again don't the prop manufacturers make the props specific to engine power?)
