Ah... counter productive. 3D is the exact opposiet of stabalized flight with a Gyro!

Re: Gyro in a Sukhoi

Why would you want to put a gyro in an aerobatic airplane? If you want to learn to hover and torque roll buy a foamy, then burn fuel. This is how it is done, gyros are for jets and helis, simple as that, gyro's are counter productive for to many reasons to bother listing.
4 steps for learning to hover
#1 Learn the proper way to do maneuvers such as loops, rolls, 4 point rolls, Cuban 8's, snaps and spins. These are the basics. Without them all you can be is some guy who can hover, big deal.
#2 get a sim
#3 buy a foamy
#4 burn some fuel.

Hovering on the deck is only impressive if you can fly and preform other maneuvers. Hovering by itself gets old fast and to be honest, makes you look like a tool.

Re: Gyro in a Sukhoi

I have done it, didn't like it, and removed it immediately. You'll find that the plane handles like crap... Save your money for fuel and a good sim and learn how to 3D without a gyro. 3D'ing on the deck (if your field allows it) has to be learned the hard way.
