Low is better ?

Hi! I try to practice some 3D manoeuvers as harrier , roll harrier. The problem is that if I'm low I'm better cause I see my plane better , but I'm afraid not have time to recover if I make a mistake. Higher,it's safe but I it.s harder to see the reaction of the plane see ? Am I the only beginner who have this questionning ? Thank ! Paul

Thumbs up Re: Low is better ?

If you don't keep the altitude you will lose it. Try and find an altitude right between not too high and not too low. Keep flying you will find it.

Re: Low is better ?

I find it best to practice new things up higher, but not ridiculously high... Its better to overcome your higher altitude difficulties before you get down on the deck and practice. Should you lose orientation (and you will) you will then have a chance to recover. Once you are fully comfortable up high you won't even be concerned about coming down. Rolling harriers are one of the worst for practicing low because your flight path will tend to wander in all directions until you get the timing down.
