Stinger 6 / Viper 90 alternative parts ?

Any Stinger 6 or Viper 90 flyers out there found reasonably priced alternatives for landing gear cross members or tail booms?

I purchased the Stinger 6 on impulse as it was a very good deal and now I enjoy flying it very much - I have only had about 10 flights on it. I find it very smooth and I am quickly getting used to it.

However the tail boom is not very sturdy, it seems takes very little force to bend or buckle it - that and I am a lousy flyer
I was looking at the carbon fibre version for $39 but I do not know how tough it is and would rather see if there are slightly thicker gauge aluminum tubes that can be had less expensive than the $10 alum tail booms.
I know 10 bucks is reasonable for a tail boom but it is often out of stock at both mscompositusa and my other favourite vendor. Also no tail boom supports available so if anyone has added boom support would appreciate any info.

I am investing in carbon fibre blades as this deal came with wood blades, they flew ok, thought the $60 price tag was not bad considering wood blades are $30. The first stage gear also strips very easiy but I think I am limited to using the original replacement part number. Will have to order a few extra - next time they are in stock.

Any decent landing gear cross members that may be of similar size? I don't mind making slight modifications or adapter brackets if any one actually has a Stinger 6 or Viper 90 and could please compare landing gear with one of other popular helis like the TREX that might be avail at local hobby shop.

thanks in advance.
