I think I saw a video of this accident. Watching the movie hurt me as much as seeing this picture. It's definitely a candidate for picture of the month, though. Great shot.

I've spent most of my money and time on model airplanes, mean women, and beer. All the rest was just a waste.

Re: Picture Of the month

That was my Mustang just before impact, at my clubs Warbird Funfly a couple of weeks ago.
This plane had a few hundred flights and it was my best flying and landing warbird.

As I came from a dive at full speed at the end of the runway I pulled up but did not expect to find the P-40 just above me.

My Mustang’s rudder fin sliced the left wing off of the P-40. My whole tail section ripped off causing total loss of control of my plane.

There was nothing left. The picture was taken seconds before they made contact.

If you are going to go, go out with style, the crowd loved it.

On the lighter side of things, the Minister of Finance (the wife) has approved the replacement of this bird and with the help of a friend ( thanks Mike) we should have a new one ready and flying in no time.

Here is a small video of the collision on YOUTUBE.

Re: Picture Of the month

Hey Ken, a full scale pilot I know was there and seen that crash. He was over a few weeks ago telling me about it. Apparently 50,000.00 dollars damage to the Harvard but it's a good thing it was parked there.
