RC Planes... A family affair

This is an interesting one...

I took advantage of the incredible weather for the second day in a row by burning a little gasoline in my Patty Wagstaff Extra 330. Today, my wife and two dogs tagged along.

I pulled the fuselage and wings out of the trailer, proceeded to bolt everything together and then I noticed that my antennae wire was dangling loose. The elastic which stretches it out to the tail wheel was broken. Small detail... or so I thought.

I spent the next five minutes digging through buckets, my trunk, under my car seats - not a single rubber band to be had.

I have a well stocked and organized trailer, so I was embarrassed to have to tell my wife that we would be packing up and returning home just because of a broken elastic band.

She grinned as she reached up and pulled an elastic from here hair. "Here you go."

It worked like a charm so I got to fly after all.

If you're not part of the solution... you may be insoluble!
