Gord, it sounds as though there are going to be a number of modellers trooping voer to "Home Desperation" (one of my co-workers calls Home Depot this, usually about thye time he has to go trooping over there late at night for something forgotten.....)

Can you get the product code off of the package or the sales receipt so we troopers know exactly what to ask for. Gives the store workers soemthing to put into the computer to figure out how many are left in inventory....

Also and more importantly, is there any article or forum thread on converting these over to RC use, like the DeWalt packs.

Don't have any proper #s right nowbut been looking. The Riobi website is just about useless But I did find something on the Home Depot site. This is the batt but it includes the charger. You could show it to them to give them something to go by. Don't think it would be a problem as they are popular tools.
I'll see what I can find on RC Groups for a dismantling of the box.
Tried for my kamikazi pilots licence. Flunked the test.

Ken I'm a Sheetmetal Worker I've got Makita 18Volt a123 drills and stuff and with three batteries I put in 8 hrs of non stop duct work assembly and they fully charge in 15min But there packs are very expensive but ther charger monitors all sells seperatly
