Aerobatic Schedule.

For the past 25 years or so I have been totaly involved in Pylon Racing, competing at the highest levels. Due to the travel distances involved my competition activity is winding down. I am getting rather bored with careering around the sky with a sport airplane. I need something more disciplined. I decided to look up the Novice Pattern schedule and progress from there. Nowhere on the MAAC site can I find the rulebook or any information for that event.

Searching Google I came across some sites that show manouvers with "Aresti" diagrams. I fully understand the need for a universal "Language" as it were but for a neophyte like myself the diagrams were incomprehensible. I seem to remember, many years ago, that the rule book illustrations used a model with a white top and black bottom to illustrate manouvers. This was very easy to use. Does something like this still exist?

Fear not for your titles. It is unlikely I will ever progress from the lowest levels. Remember, for the past 25 years I have been flying in left hand circles. In fact it is only recently that I discovered an airplane will turn right and that was by accident!

Re: Aerobatic Schedule.

Hi Ed,

All the pattern schedules can be found in these two places,

Only the FAI schedules, and the US schedules are available in Aresti format. I don't think anyone has created aresti for the MAAC classes in pattern. The written descriptions should be enough that you can figure out what they should look like.
