I am not sure were you are getting your facts and thus your conclusions. My 2 remaining single cylinder gassers weight 13 lb or so each. I gave a 12 lb. away to a friend. My twin cylinder gasser is heavier. These are sport models and not for heavy lifting or scale models.
It would be interesting to see your stats. on how many you know have switch from a gasser to Turbines. I haven't switch from glow and gasoline but I do have 4 heli turbines and 2 more to arrive soon.
