I'm sure us engineer's can come up with a solution.

Just, let me plant my face in there, and think about it..

Sometime's, heavy front end's are worth it.... Just my opinion....

I've spent most of my money and time on model airplanes, mean women, and beer. All the rest was just a waste.

Re: "Fun Scale Pilots"

I would definately have an interest in those but I think actual dimensions would be nice especially in inches Let us know some prices and shipping costs to get the ball rolling. They look remarkably like Petes Pilots who has retired I believe. Petes were definatly the best and he told me one time he had six thousand molds of different items. Good Luck

Re: "Fun Scale Pilots"

Thanks for the feed back guys, much appreciated...

And no plans on offering Barbie dolls any time in the near future sorry....

Yes we are developing a range of 1/3 "comic" scale approx 35% and should be available soon. Also some accurate scale full figure pilots to suite larger warbirds, jets and civil aviation models are in the works. We may do some smaller pilots but there does not seem to be much demand from what I have seen so for now the smallest we have would be the ones seen in the first post, these guys are roughly 1/6 ~ 1/5 scale so would suit the popular ARF models we are seeing more and more of at our fields. These comic pilots are all approximately the same size spec wise - Width 3 1/4" X Height 3 1/2".

The reason we use cast resin is its better for creating the finer details. The moulding process is called sludge moulding and uses a casting resin, just enough resin and in a watery liquid state is poured into the female mould pattern and turned over slowly by hand allowing resin to fill the many nooks and cranys etc. In effect the entire pilot figure is otherwise hollow once dry and removed from mould, so finished weight is really minimal that said the lower base section (shoulders) is a little dense and does weigh more than maybe it should, although if weight saving is your priority its easy enough to Dremel away some of the internal casting to save further weight.

P.S. "Petes Pilots" are made from a latex rubber style material and made in the U.K.. Our guys are cast resin and bare very little resemblance to be honest also designed and made 100% in Australia.

Cheers- Marty
