"After Hours" aircraft at the NATS.

Some of you guys might have seen Dave and I flying some non-IMAC aircraft after hours at the NATS in Sudbury. A few of you requested that we post some info on the aircraft here.

Most of the aircraft were from StevensAero.com. Dave and I met Bill Stevens (the owner/designer) at NEAT fair in 2005, and we quickly became hooked on his aircraft. They're all kits, (we like building) and they're specifically designed for electric power.

Anyways... before I start to sound like an advertisement. Here are the aircraft:

The tiny hotliner we were passing around is called an Adrenaline Rush:

Our suggestion... go with the "Blistering Fast" setup... that's what we were flying Friday night. There was some talk of setting up some afterhours pylon racers with these puppies. Might be fun.

On the other end of the spectrum, the the slow and silly Lazy-Bee looking aircraft I was flying was the MudBug

I prefer brushless motors, so instead of his suggested brushed setup, I'm using the Eflite Park 180 outrunner, and a Thunderbird 6 speed control.

Dave had his Edge 540:

He's using a Hacker A30-16M and Phoenix 35 ESC.

The last one, which I don't have too much information on is the tiny yellow "Ugly Stick" aircraft. This is the radical RC micro-stick. I'll let Dave fill you guys in on this one.

Re: "After Hours" aircraft at the NATS.

Hey Tom, thanks for starting this thread. I've been on holidays and purposely away from my computer

The little yellow plane we were flying is called the "Micro Low Stick" by Radical RC. http://www.radicalrc.com/shop/?shop=...97728&cat=190&

If anyone has any questions let me know and I'd be happy to answer, if I can. You can also surf on over to RCGroups and do a search on any of these planes. Tons of info there.

FWIW, as Tom said, I do enjoy building and if anyone is interested, I'd be happy to put any one of these together for ya. Not that there is a lot of building involved but, I'd be happy to do it.
