Totally agree with wyldkat! Definitely fly what the popular brands that the clubs carry and that the club flyers fly, you will definitely end up crashing sooner or later and you will definitely have parts that will eventually wear out and need replacing. Also, don't fall for the "cheap" trick, often some of the more popular brands cost a little more but they actually often do fly better, are made of higher grade materials, better tooling, they can grow with you through your progression because they will be highly adjustable, and because many people fly em, you can have an almost instant answer to any problems you discover by simply asking your locak club guys or on a forum like here!

Store-wise, A&J hobbies as mentioned above is good, and so is http://www.advance-rc.com/hmain.html located on HWY 7 and Woodbine in Markham: also mentioned above! also a bit of a drive from you, but a bit closer than A & J, they are pretty much 90% helis in that shop and I get practically all parts from these guys!
