That is exactly why i posted " How much for shipping? ", they always make it sound like a deal but after the shipping we are getting ripped, it's probably worse for us in canada but i've read lots of posts from people i nthe states complaining about shipping costs from Nitro Models.

Re: Nitro planes Labour day sale

A friend of mine who had ordered earlier from nitro planes manage to ship his order paying only $60.00 in shipping. That was end of last year or beginning of this year. The amount in their shipping has not change but is still the same. Only when you have ordered will they hit you with the "extra charge". Going back to my friend, he got his plane with the $60.00 shipping cost but a week later, canada custom sent him a bill for custom duties in the amount of $60.00 as well. Thats a total of $120.00 to get the plane into canada plus the US$299.95 price of the plane.
I like their product but the idea of being "informed" that their shipping cost has change does not sit well with me. I have sent them emails about the matter but so far have not responded.
I will keep looking into how nitro model does with their shipping.

I don't think so. It must have been UPS and they charge a ripoff brokerage fee. There is only sales/gst/tax on models, not duty.
