Some approaches use NDB's as a fix, but they're 200-415KHz. All this stuff is always on.

I'd be more worried if there was problems there for when I'm on the ILS and someone's flying a rc plane nearby screwing up my instruments I trust those dials with my life down to 200 ft all the time.

As for your TV, I couldn't answer that one. Your TV gets frequecies from 54-60MHz and we have nothing in our planes anywhere near that. Maybe the plane's wake turbulence is moving your antenna outside

Hope you find an answer, Cheers!

Thanks...that's good to know.

Re: do airliners cause interference???

I flew for years in a hanger at the Edmonton International airport and more recently outside at the Grande Prairie Airport. Haven't had a radio problem yet.

Re: do airliners cause interference???

thanks for all the info, I was just wondering because we saw that plane in the distance as the decathelon was breathing its last breath.

could have been a bad rx battery, i was also thinking that maybe one of the wires vibrated out and it lost connection, that would explain the no control what so ever. either way the plane is gone, the rx was in two pieces, maybe salvage a couple servos and the muffler, thats about it...

at least it was towards the end of the summer. could have been worse...

Switch your TV to channel 4, turn on your transmitter near it.

Broadcast television uses several very wide bands to transmit on, that is why they are phasing out analogue TV.
