Do I realy need to run a BEC on a small, Park 450 size electric?

What are advantages over just tapping off the ESC?

Re: Bec?

The ESC should already have Battery Eliminator Circuitry . You shouldn't have to run a seperate BEC .

Re: Bec?

A seperate BEC is required in the following circumstances, if any one of these applies to you, you need it.

1- Your ESC does not have a BEC.

2- Your ESC has a BEC but does not support the amount of servos you want to use.

3- Most BECs provide 5volts to recvr, in case you want to run your servos on 6volts instead, you will have to disable the ESC BEC and use a seperate one.

4- you have more cells than the BEC is rated to handle.

That applies to any ESC and motor/battery
